Changes to Free Accounts

After three months of deliberation and careful thought, we’ve decided to disable hot linking for all free basic accounts.

It was hard decision for us to make, but hot linking on free accounts puts our business at a disadvantage.

Sorry for the bad news, everyone, and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

It’s not really “bad news” at all! FileQube is still the best deal for free users. :-)

Why can’t we opt to keep our files out of public searches?? I would certainly use this service over 4shared if I could keep my files out of a search and I’m sure you’d get a whole lot more people signing up if that was the case.

This is a great service. Losing the hot linking feature wasn’t really a problem. There are plenty of features already without it. I am also glad to see that the features have improved since I have last been here too. Keep up the good work.
