New Features Coming to FileQube

Want to improve our service? So do we.

In the next couple of months, we’ll be upgrading and releasing a new version. You’ll be able to upload widgets, do remote uploads, enjoy avatar support and more.

Here’s a full list of upcoming improvements for you to check out.

  1. Account upgrades - Get more features and less limitations. Customize amount of disk space and bandwidth available within your storage.
  2. Virus scan - This extremely useful feature helps protect our members from downloading files that may be unsafe
  3. Avatar support - Personalize your shared pages with avatars
  4. Remote upload manager - Grab files from any remote host and upload directly to your web folder. You can choose the folder, where these files should be downloaded, check out the progress meter, receive global notifications, and more.
  5. Files collector - This nice feature allows you to copy any file hosted by File Qube to your personal web folder. Coolness. You won’t have to worry about file availability any more.
  6. Better tags management - We’ll change tags management to make it more useful by adding group tags operations and better management features.
  7. Upload widgets - Get upload functionality to any website or blog. Members can use uploaded widgets in private or public sharing mode.
  8. API functions - This is good news for all developers who might want to communicate with our storage using simple API functions.

Have a feature suggestion that isn’t on this list that you’d like to see? Contact us. We’re open to your ideas and suggestions.

Would be cool if you guys incorporated some features that would allow me to use your service as a replacement of my gmail account cause they limit me at 20MB. Something where I can send to a person and have the files inserted into my account and then I can track who downloaded files.

Right now I’m using YouSendIt but I’d switch over to your service in a heartbeat if you could offer similar.

Thanks for the great feedback, JakeTheSnake 008. It’s much appreciated to see our hard work being appreciated by users.

To clarify on your posting. FileQube currently has functionality that allows users to send emails right from within their account interface. It’s pretty easy to use and allows you to send any number of links.

We currently do not support to many features related to sending files simply because FQ was initially developed as a file storage service. Having this said we are working on enhancing this functionality in future releases based on suggestions from our clients - after all we’ve been building FQ for you guys to use it ;).

I was wondering if you will be offering custom urls for accessing the public files. I would like to just give an url to people so anyone can access the public files.
